Precondition Your Battery

Use your vehicle's preconditioning feature before arriving. A warm battery accepts charge faster than a cold one, especially in winter conditions.

Charge Between 10-80%

Charging speeds are fastest between 10-80% battery level. Charging slows significantly above 80% to protect battery health.

Turn Off Energy-Consuming Features

Disable climate control, heated seats, and other high-energy features during charging to maximize charging efficiency.

Connector Types & Compatibility

Understanding connector types ensures you can charge at any Electrify America station. Our stations support all major EV connector standards.

Type 2 (IEC 62196)

The European standard for AC charging, also known as Mennekes connector. Widely adopted across Europe and increasingly popular in Asia for Level 2 charging up to 43kW.

Charging Etiquette

Do
  • • Move your vehicle promptly when charging is complete
  • • Park only in designated EV charging spaces
  • • Return the charging cable to its holster
  • • Be patient and courteous with other drivers
  • • Report any issues with the charger
  • • Keep the charging area clean
Don't
  • • Leave your vehicle plugged in after charging is done
  • • Park in charging spaces if you're not charging
  • • Unplug someone else's vehicle
  • • Block access to other chargers
  • • Leave the charging cable on the ground
  • • Charge to 100% during peak hours unless necessary
  • • Using Adaptor in NOT allowed
Idle Fees Apply: To ensure charger availability, idle fees per minute may apply if you don't move your vehicle within a number of minutes of charging completion.
